January Birchbox!

Have you all heard of Birchbox? I have been following a few blogs that rave about these little boxes each month, and I've been wanting to try one! I had a little extra Christmas money this year so I decided to give it a go.

What is Birchbox? It's a little brown box that arrives at your door each month filled with beauty samples. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it! I'm not the type to go out and buy a lot of beauty products, so I am finding this is a good way for me to try new items and experiment without making the high dollar commitment. Plus, the box is only $10/ month!

Still curious? Here's what came in my January box:

I opened the box to find a note about making 2013 the best year ever. I agree! On the back was a list of each product with a brief description and the cost for the full size product. Then on to the goodies!

First was this little box containing a tube of Embryolisse facial cream. Apparently, it is loved by celebrities and models worldwide. I would have to agree. It made my skin feel incredibly soft and smooth. I also noticed a slight difference in my complexion by the end of the day. The tube was small, but I've only used a small drop per day and it's lasted for a week now!

These 100% Pure Nourishing Body Cream packets were next. They were both coconut scented, and the lotion went on thick and creamy. I loved the feel of the lotion, but the smell wasn't a favorite for me. I usually love coconut, but these were too earthy for me.

Next was this tube of Eyeco Skinny Liquid eyeliner. I have been wanting some black liquid liner, so I was really excited about this one! It also looked full size to me... hooray! I found it went on smoothly and stayed on all day. This might be a new favorite.

And then a box inside a box! So fun. (I plan on using this for a gift sometime too- so cute!) Inside the little box were 2 things:

First was this little silver Aerie Shimmer perfume sample. I always have a hard time adjusting to new perfume, but this one was nice. It went on a little musky at first, but as the day wore on it gave a nice light scent.

And finally, this sample of Ojon Total Hair Therapy completed the box. I took a picture of the packaging because it arrived frozen! I tried this this morning, and my hair is so incredibly soft. Wow! I think this might be another new favorite.
